(a love letter to the earth)

Dear Earth, 

I’m sorry

over centuries, so many of us have become numb
deep connections to you lost
ignorance perpetuated by modern culture
blinded to reality

as a human race, we must
do better
the wisdom is out there
held by your original caretakers
indigenous peoples worldwide

the only hope is to awaken
the masses
even if it’s one person at a time
to replace complacency
with respect, gratitude, love
and action

I am truly grateful you're
always there
creating balance and providing for all 

I promise to do better
you deserve so much more
